At Elite Concrete Coatings, LLC we use the highest quality products and most innovative techniques. Nothing we use is off the shelf or from a big box store.
Elite Concrete Coatings Process
We start by diamond grinding the floor to provide a surface so the epoxy will adhere. Grinders are attached to powerful HEPA vacuums to make the process virtually dustless. Once we grind the entire floor cracks, spalling, and other defects are repaired. Once repairs have been made, the floor is thoroughly cleaned. We then apply a 100% solids epoxy base coat. After the epoxy has been applied a full broadcast of decorative flakes are spread. Flakes are not only decorative but add another layer of protection and thickness to the overall coating. We then apply a high gloss polyaspartic as a top coat. Polyaspartic top coat is UV stable, scratch and chemical resistant. Floors are ready for light foot traffic within 24 hours of top coat application and vehicle traffic within 3 days.

No! The epoxy floor is not slippery, it is actually slip resistant. However, outside applications where water or moisture may be of concern, grit additive may be added to enhance traction.

Most DIY kits result in a very thin coating, with a low concentration of epoxy. These kits are similar to paint. DIY kits frequently result in hot tire pick up and chipping. A professionally installed floor from Elite Concrete Coatings is much thicker and has a more durable coating. We use a 2 component 100% solids epoxy. Once the 2 components are mixed, they begin to cure, resulting in an extremely long- lasting industrial grade floor.
